Greeting parents,
Our focus on bats continues with bat art and bat fact games. One game consists of the children pulling a paper bat
out of a basket and deciding whether they think the fact written on the bat is fact or fiction. Did you know Vt. Little
Brown Bats weigh one quarter ounce making them like living kites? True!
Next Fall our playful creative younger version of After School Kids kicks off for Preschool and Kindergarten students.
Preschool/Kindercare will be offered daily from 11:30-2:25 at a rate of 15.00 per day and for Kindergarten
students who would like to stay until 5:30 a combined rate of 25.00 for both After School program segments.
Please register before June 11th by obtaining a packet from Connie H. Subsidy funding is available from the State Child Care Dept.
Spanish continues with work on color names and numerals . The students seem to be having fun! Thanks to Rachel
Rosenbloom for volunteering and presenting this six week workshop. Maybe you have a talent or know someone who
could do a one or more session presentation ?
Welcome Emma Wade ! She is our assistant teacher for the last five weeks of school. Emma will be a sophomore at
Smith College and is studying art,economics and Italian language. She will be working on a WOOF farm this summer in
Italy. As a Harwood student ,Emma was an honor student,active in many service projects, musical theater ,and played
in both the Jazz and Symphonic bands.
